We believe you don't need to be an activist to be active. Our goal rests in our belief that every person has the responsibility to themselves and society to be active in the projects and causes about which they feel passionately. The collective positive actions throughout the spectrum of society's issues would result in a progressive culture for which we can exchange the complacency of former years.

With that in mind we are taking the initiative to make America greener and healthier. On May 14th, 2008, we will set off from Yorktown, VA to bike across the country and plant one million trees with the 56 communities of the towns in which we will stop along the way. Person by person and tree by tree, we hope that as we add to America's beautiful landscape, we can also share knowledge and stories with people that we meet on the road and spread our message of environmental and social responsibility.

We are making a strong effort to unite communities in the name of the environment. Our project started with enthusiastic supporters on faithful volition across the country, and we will continue to grow with similar generosity and support.

We are visiting schools in our home and neighboring towns to educate youth of the importance of environmental awareness and maintenance. We are speaking with students of all ages and sharing our experiences in hopes to encourage them to do something similar, regardless of age. We hope to discuss our cause and teach youth in an effort to influence a responsible, intelligent and progressive generation.

As our project has burgeoned from a coffee shop idea to an active non-profit, we keep in mind our ultimate goal. Our benefits will be the result of the effort we put in. We'll only be as successful as the trees we plant, and the people we affect, in hopes we can share the initiative to create a better world.

We hope to hear from you and look forward to your help in Planting America.
