Plant trees under our name
the best way to get us to our 1,000,000 tree goal
We are making a strong effort to unite communities through Planting America and there are a number of ways you can help outside of donations or sponsorships. Getting active in your community and planting one tree or a few for Planting America is a great way to join the project and make your world that much nicer.
We want our reach to be as far as possible in this project. So we encourage you to go to your local or state nursery and purchase a native species of tree and plant on your property or any place you have permission. Please refer to our instructional videos or the "Ask Rob" forum for directions and any questions you may have about planting a tree correctly. After you are done you can submit your tree donation through e-mail and attach a photo for us to feature on the website if you feel so inclined; we would love to see your work!
Moreover, you can utilize our free seed program. We have several species of trees free of charge for you to cultivate into a new tree. It's a bit more challenging than planting a seedling or tree, but with some patience and attention it is certainly a rewarding process. Click on the “Free Tree Seeds” page and learn all about our program.
We have worked with elementary schools, college student groups, service organizations, religious groups and companies to hold tree planting events. If you want to join us at one of our stops on the trip, fill out the volunteer form and we can organize acquisition of trees from one of your nearby nurseries and land in your town.
